H بيٿا बेटा beṭā [S. वेकटः; or वटु], s.m. Son, boy, child; a form of address used by faqīrs towards their ćelās or disciples:—beṭā banānā, betā kar-lenā, v.t. To adopt a son (syn. god lenā):—beṭā-beṭī, s.m. Children, family, offspring:—beṭā-khāʼū, s.m. A father who survives his son:—beṭe-pote-wālā, s.m.
