P چه ći [Zend ći, nom. ćis; S. ća], pron., adv. & conj. What?—which, what; as, because; either, whether, or, even (when prefixed to another word the mute h is dropped, e.g. ći-gūna, q.v.: it is also used as an affix; e.g. agar-ći, 'if even,' 'although'; ān-ći, 'that which'; har-ći, 'everything which,' 'whatever').

P چه ća (old P. ća; Zend ća; S. क), A particle affixed to Persian nouns to form diminutives (e.g. bāg̠-ća, 'a small garden': it may also take the form -īća, as bāg̠-īća: it sometimes occurs also in the forms -za, -īza,—the letters ća, ja, za, and zha being interchangeable,—e.g. mashkīza, 'a small leathern bottle').
