H چهاپ छाप ćhāp (see ćhāp-nā), s.f. Stamp, print, copy; impression (of a stamp, or type, &c.); a seal, a signet; stamp (on coins), mark (on weights and measures to indicate their accuracy), an official stamp in general; sectarial marks representing a lotus, trident, &c., delineated on the body by the worshippers of Vishnu (=ćhāpā):—ćhāp karnā, ćhāp lagānā (-meṅ), To put a seal or stamp (on), to stamp, seal, print, make an impression or mark (on).
