H چهپر छप्पर ćhappar, (in comp.) छपर ćhapar [S. छत्त्वरः, rt. छद्], s.m. A sloping thatch, a thatched roof; a shed, a hut;—tester of a bed);—(fig.) a heavy burden:—ćhappar-band, s.m. A thatcher:—ćhappar-bandī, s.f. Thatching; price of thatching; cultivating, with permanent residence (in a village):—ćhappar-par dharnā or rakhnā, v.t.
