چهور छौर ćhaur

H چهور छौर ćhaur [S. क्षौरं, fr. क्षुर], s.m. Shaving of the head or beard;—the office of barber:—ćhaur banwānā, To get oneself shaved.

چهوڙ छोड़ ćhoṛ

H چهوڙ छोड़ ćhoṛ = H چهوڙا छोड़ा ćhoṛā (v.n. fr. ćhoṛ-nā), s.m. Letting go, loosing, setting free, release, liberation, deliverance; sparing; leaving, abandoning, &c.; relinquishment, renunciation; abdication; omitting, omission:—ćhoṛ-ćiṭṭhī, s.f. A pass, a permit; a deed of release; a deed of divorce or abandonment (of a wife); a document relinquishing claim to a girl betrothed to the repudiator, but who, in his absence, is married to another man.

H چهور छौर ćhaur, s.m. A large stack of jawār, or bājrā, &c. collected for fodder;—walking a boundary with a raw cow-skin on the head under a solemn oath to decide correctly.
