چهوت छूत ćhūt

H چهوت छूत ćhūt [ćhū(nā)+Prk. अत्ती=S. आपि+तिः (आप्ति, āpi being the caus. augment], s.f. Touch of anything impure, contamination; defilement, impurity:—ćhūt honā, v.n. To be touched, be contaminated, be defiled, be polluted.

Omitting, excepting; apart, aside, &c. (=ćhuṭ, q.v.):—ćhūṭ-ćhūṭ-bol, s.m. (Gram.) A disjunctive particle:—ćhūṭ-ćhuṭāʼo, s.m. Severance, separation, parting; intervention, mediation:—ćhūṭ laṛnā, v.n. To fight loosely, to hit all round;—to let (the tongue) loose.
