ڐوبائي डूबाई ḍūbāʼī
H ڐوبائي डूबाई ḍūbāʼī [ḍūbā(nā)+āʼī = Prk. एअव्वअइआ=S. (इ)तव्य+ता+इका], s.f. Drowning, &c.;—an unconditional bribe (given whether the donor gain or lose his suit, in contradistinction to tirānī or tarāʼī, a bribe which is to be returned if the suit be lost).

An island or bank left in the channel of a river; low land that is liable to be flooded:—ḍūbā-huʼā, adj. (f. -ī) = ḍūbā, q.v.:—ḍūbā-ḵẖarć, s.m. Lost expenditure, expenditure without return:—ḍūbā-huʼā khātā, s.m. Account or register of outlay or expenditure that is lost or yields no return, or of bad debts.
