عيدي ʻīdī rel. n. fr. ʻīd

P عيدي ʻīdī (rel. n. fr. ʻīd), adj. Of ʻīd, relating to ʻīd;—s.f. A present made at ʻīd, or on a festive occasion; an Easter gift; pocket-money given to children at ʻīd;—a kind of verse descriptive of ʻīd, &c.; the paper on which this verse is written; fees paid to a teacher (by pupils) for an ʻīdī written by him.
