P فسان fasān, or fisān [=afsān; rt. Zend śā with prep. aiwi = S. अभि+शा (शो); cf. S. शाण, and H. sān], s.f. A whetstone.

P فشان fishān [fr. fishāndan = afshāndan = shawāndan, caus. of shudan; rt. Zend shu with prep. aiwi = S. अभि+च्यु (च्यवते)], part. adj. & s.m. Scattering, strewing; shedding; spreading, expanding, diffusing; strewed,—scatterer, strewer, &c. (used as last member of compounds, e.g. ātash-fishān, 'scattering fire').
