H گدلا गदला gadlā [S. कर्ट+आल+कः?], adj. (f. -ī), Turbid, muddy, foul, dull, dirty (water, or other liquid):—gadlā karnā, v.t. To make muddy or turbid, &c.; to stir up the sediment or dirt (in a pond, or a vessel, &c.);—to stir up the mud and mix it with the water in a rice-field preparatory to sowing the rice.
