هاي हाय hāʼe

H هاي हाय hāʼe [prob. fr. Prk. हा=S. हा;—A. also hāʼe], intj. Ah! alas! oh!—s.f. A sigh:—hāʼe daʼiyā, Mon Dieu!—hāʼe-re, intj.=hāʼe:—hāʼe karnā, or hāʼe mārnā, or hāʼe-kā naʻra mārnā, 'To utter the exclamation hāʼe or 'alas!'; to sigh; to lament:—hāʼe-hāʼe or hāʼe-hūʼe, intj. Alas, alas!—s.f. Sighs; sighing:—hāʼe-hāʼe mārnā, To exclaim 'alas, alas!';—to heave a deep sigh (or deep sighs).
