P هفت haft [Pehl. & Pārsī haft; Zend hapta (base haptan); S. सप्त (base सप्तन्)], adj. Seven:—haft-iqlīm, s.m. The seven climes or regions, the world:—haft-andām, s.f. The aorta or great artery; the great vein that runs through the arm:—haft-pahlū, adj. & s.m. Seven-sided;—a seven-sided figure, a heptagon:—haft-ḵẖẉān, s.m. The seven feasts given by Rustam on the seven days in which he fought his way to Mazandaran to the rescue of Kaikāʼūs:—haft-dahum (see dahum), adj. Seventeenth:—haft-rangī, adj. Versatile, fickle, capricious; artful, cunning:—haft-zabān, A master of seven languages; a linguist:—haft-qalam, s.m.
