A التفات iltifāt [inf. n. viii of لفت 'to turn, bend'], s.f. Regard, attention, countenance; respect, consideration, courtesy, civility, kindness; (in Rhetoric) An apostrophe:—iltifāt karnā (-par, or -kī t̤araf), To attend (to), to countenance; to show regard or consideration (for); to notice:—iltifāt na karnā, Not to attend (to), not to notice; to discountenance, &c.
