H جهٿکاझटकाjhaṭkā, part. (of jhaṭaknā), Broken asunder, torn by a sudden jerk, torn to pieces; slaughtered by having the head cut off (in the Hindū way);—s.m. An animal so slaughtered (for sacrifice, &c., the only meat lawful for Hindus to eat).
