A ك ka, prep. (or rather, governing noun), After the similitude of, like, as:—kaʼl-ʻadam, adj. As though non-existent; non-existent; null and void;—kaʼl-ʻadam jānnā (-ko), To regard as non-existent; to treat as null and void; to set at nought:—kaʼl-ʻadam karnā, v.t. To make null and void, to annul, rescind, &c.:—kaʼl-ʻadam honā, v.n. To become extinct; to come to an end; to come to nought; to become null and void, to be rescinded, &c.:—kaʼn-naqsh fiʼl-ḥajar, Like an engraving on stone:—ka-anna-hu, As if he (or it) was, as it were:—ka-mā, 'The like of what,' like that which, like, such as, as:—ka-mā fiʼl-awwal, as (it was) in the beginning or originally; as before:—ka-mā ḥaqqu-hu, As it truly is or should be; as is right or proper, aright, in a proper manner, properly; ka-mā hiya or , As things are, as the affair stands;—s.f.
