کندها कंधा kandhā
H کندها कंधा kandhā [Prk. खंधओ; S. स्कन्धकः], s.m. The shoulder:—kandhā denā (-ko), To bear on the shoulder; to carry a corpse; to lend a shoulder; to put the shoulder (to the wheel):—kandhā ḍālnā, To throw off the yoke (an ox);—(met.) to give way, to lose heart:—kandhā lagnā, v.n. To be galled in the shoulder (an animal):—kandhe ćaṛhānā, v.t. To mount (a child) on the shoulder:—kandhe lagānā, or kandhe-se lagānā or lagā-lenā (-ko), To press (a child in the arms) against the shoulder (in order to soothe it to sleep).
