Side, edge, margin, bank, shore, coast, beach, strand; limit, boundary; end; border, hem; tag end (of a piece of cloth):—kināra pakaṛnā, v.n.=kināra karnā, q.v.:—kināra ćaṛhānā (with loc.), To put a border or hem (to):—kināra-dār, vulg. kināre-dār, adj. Having a border, bordered:—kināra karnā (-se), To keep or hold (oneself) aloof (from), to avoid, shun; to abstain (from), refrain (from); to retire, withdraw;—to lay aside:—kināra-kash, adj.
