A لقا liqā (inf. n. of لقي 'to meet,' &c.), s.f. Meeting, encountering, seeing (a person; cf. mulāqāt); fighting (with); (met. perhaps for liqāʼuʼl-lāh) death;—(in Pers.) face, form, visage, countenance (used as last member of compounds):—māh-liqā, adj. With a face like the moon, moon-faced.
