H لاکهہ लाख lākh [Prk. लक्खं; S. लक्षं], adj. & s.m. A hundred thousand, a lac; an immense number of; any number of:—lākh jī-se, 'With a hundred thousand lives'; with all one's heart, most willingly or cheerfully:—lākh sir-kā honā, 'To be possessed of a hundred thousand heads'; to be very persistent, or very pig-headed; to insist; to turn a deaf ear (to):—lākh man-kā honā, 'To be of the weight of a hundred thousand mans or 'maunds'; to be of immense weight, to be exceedingly heavy; to be (a man) of great weight or consideration:—lākhoṅ, adj. Hundreds of thousands of, lacs of, in (or by) lacs, many lacs:—lākhoṅ-meṅ, adv. In the presence (or face) of lacs of (people), before any number of people, before everybody, in public;—certainly, assuredly.
