ماده māda
P ماده māda [Pehl. mātak; Zend mātar, nom. māta; S. mātr̤i, nom. mātā], adj. & s.f. Female;—a female; pair (of a bird, &c.):—māda peć, A female screw:—māda keʼoṛā (dialec.) The female Caldera, prickly bush or screwpine:—māda gāʼo, A cow.

(f. -ī) = marā:—marī jūṅ, lit. 'A dead louse'; a miserably distressed, or wretchedly poor person;—a very slow person.
