P مہين mihīn, vulg. महीन mahīn [mih, q.v.+īn = Zend yaṅh = S. इयस् or यस्, nom. इयान् or यान्], adj. Fine, subtle; thin (not coarse);—greater, greatest; elder-born:—mihīn (or mahīn) āwāz, s.f. A fine or shrill sound; a high note; the treble;—a soprano voice;—a thin, or feeble, voice:—mihīn-doz, s.m. A tailor; one who performs any fine needle-work:—mahīn-gunḍā, adj. Hypocritical.
