H مسان मसान masān [Prk. मसाणं; S. श्मशानं], s.m. A place where the dead are burnt, crematory, ustrinum (syn. marghaṭ); a cemetery;—a demon, an evil spirit (said to have influence on children);—a disease to which children are liable, possession by an evil spirit; convulsions;—whooping-cough:—masān-kā rog, or sūkhiyā masān, s.m. The whooping-cough.
