A مرجع marjaʻ (noun of place, fr. رجع 'to return,' &c.), s.m. A place to which a person or thing returns; asylum, place or refuge; a rendezvous; time of return;—the place or thing to which a person or thing is referred (as his or its source); place of reference; (in Gram.) an antecedent;—the place, or the state or condition, or the result, to which a person or thing ultimately comes; a goal.
