P متعه mutʻa (for A. متعة mutʻat, inf. n. of متع), s.m. Taking a wife on the condition of dismissing her after a few days, a temporary marriage (allowed by the Shīʻas, but considered illegal by the Sunnīs); cohabitation;—use, enjoyment; advantage, profit.
