P مصيبت muṣībat (for A. مصيبة, v.n. fr. صاب (for صوب) 'to descend, to fall from above'), s.f. An affliction, a calamity, misfortune, disaster, an evil accident; evil, misery, ill, trouble, adversity:—muṣībat zada, or muṣībat-kā mārā, adj. Unfortunate, calamitous, &c.;—Unfortunate one, miserable or wretched person:—muṣībat-meṅ paṛnā, v.n. To fall into misfortune, &c.; a misfortune to befall (one):—muṣībat-ě-nāgahānī, s.f. An unlooked-for disaster or affliction.
