A hollow tubular stalk (esp. of the lotus); any tubular vessel (of the body); the navel-string; the gullet, throat, neck (more com. nāṛ, or nār);—a tube, pipe; a hollow reed; a weaver's shuttle (i.q. nār);—a blade (of grass);—barrel (of a gun);—fibre (of which rope is made,—more com. nār);—a quoit; a round heavy stone with a hole in the middle (for athletic exercise);—brick-work of a solid-masonry well:—nāl gaṛnā (with gen.), or nāl gaṛī-huʼī honā (-kī, or terī, &c.), 'One's navel-string to be buried' (in a place); to have a claim as an heir.
