A نبي nabī (verb. adj. of the measure فَعِيل fr. نَبِئٌ 'a way,' &c., rt. نبأ), s.m. A prophet:—nabī bar-ḥaq, 'The prophet by right or in truth,' the true prophet, the prophet Moḥammad:—nabī-kī-mār, The wrath or vengeance of a prophet.
