H نس नस nas [S. स्नसा; Prk. णसा(?)], s.f. A vein; a muscle, sinew, tendon, nerve; fibre;—the organ of generation:—nas bhaṛaknā, v.n. A tendon to be ruptured:—nas-dār, adj. Sinewy, veiny:—nas-kaṭā, s.m. A eunuch;—a catamite:—nasā-jāl, s.m. A congeries of nerves; the nervous system.

'The daughters of the Bier'; the constellation of the Bear (as well 'The Greater' as 'The Lesser'; they are both called the Bier; the three stars which go before the Bier being called banāt, and every individual star ibn naʻsh.
