Exemplar, model; guide, leader; foreman; the head of a party; high-priest; the chief of a religious sect; a moral or religious instructor;—the first executive officer (among the Marhaṭṭas):—peshwā karnā, v.t. To follow as a model; to take as a guide, &c.:—peshwā lenā (-kā), To meet and receive (a friend or visitor).
