H پهيکا फीका phīkā [S. पीतकः], adj. (f. -ī), Sallow, pale, wan, faded, dim, dull, faint, light (of colour); tasteless, vapid, insipid (as food without salt, &c.); weak, watery, thin, poor, flat, jejune: dull, cheerless.

پهوکا फोका phokā

H پهوکا फोका phokā, = H پهوك फोक phok, (cf. phūṅk and phoskā), adj. Hollow, not solid; concave; empty; light; soft;—plain, simple, mere (also written phoṅk, phoṅkā);—phok, s.f. Hollow, concavity; notch (of an arrow).

Fasting (from necessity), endurance of hunger, starvation:—fāqa khaiṅćnā, or fāqoṅ-marnā, To starve, to be famished, to die of hunger, perish of (necessitated and repeated) fasts:—fāqa-mast, s.m. One who is starving but conceals his distress; one who is cheerful and jolly in the midst of poverty;—a poor starveling who affects the airs of a wealthy man:—fāqa-mastī, s.f. Cheerfulness, &c. in want or adversity:—fāqoṅ-kā mārā, adj. & s.m. Starving, perishing of hunger;—one who is famished, a starveling:—fāqoṅ marnā, v.n. =fāqa khaiṅćnā, q.v.
