H پچهلا पिछला pićhlā [S. पश्र्च+लः], adj. (f. -ī), Back, rear, posterior, dorsal; after, hind, hinder, hindermost; latter, last, late, bygone, past; succeeding, modern;—s.m. Past or old lessons, &c.:—pićhlā pahar or pahrā, s.m. The last watch (of the night):—pićhle pāʼoṅ phirnā, v.n. To return (from a place) the instant of reaching (it), to retrace one's steps without tarrying:—pićhle pāʼoṅ haṭnā, v.n. To retreat; to withdraw from, or back out of, an agreement:—pićhlī mat, s.f. After-thought, a thought or idea that comes too late, misconception.
