A قياس qiyās (inf. n. of قيس; and also inf. n. of iii of قيس 'to measure, to compare (with)'), s.m. Measuring (by or with); comparing (with); measurement, comparison;—reasoning, ratiocination; a syllogism;—regular form, analogy, rule; judgment, opinion; thought, conception; fancy; theory; supposition, conjecture, guess:—qiyās-se bāhar, adj. Beyond conception, inconceivable:—qiyās karnā, v.t.
