ديا दया dayā

H ديا दया dayā [prob. S. दाया, rt. दा], s.f. A gift (=daʼī).

A ريا riyā (prop. رئا riʼā, inf. n. of iii of رأي 'to see'), s.m. Acting ostentatiously; affectation, show, pretence, hypocrisy, dissimulation, subterfuge, evasion:—riyā-kār, adj. & s.m. Hypocritical, deceitful, double-faced;—hypocrite, dissembler:—riyā karnā, To practise hypocrisy, to dissemble, to act ostentatiously.
