s.m. Robbing, stealing, carrying off by violence; stealer, robber (used in comp., e.g. dil-rubā, Heart-ravishing).

One who is drowned, a drowned man;—flooded land, low land under water (=ḍūbī zamīn):—ḍūbī asāmī, A ruined man, a bankrupt, insolvent:—ḍūbā ćar, s.m. An island or bank left in the channel of a river; low land that is liable to be flooded:—ḍūbā-huʼā, adj. (f. -ī) = ḍūbā, q.v.:—ḍūbā-ḵẖarć, s.m. Lost expenditure, expenditure without return:—ḍūbā-huʼā khātā, s.m. Account or register of outlay or expenditure that is lost or yields no return, or of bad debts.
