P صلاحيت ṣalāḥiyat (for A. صلاحية, inf. n. of صلح 'to be good,' &c.), s.f. Goodness, rectitude, integrity, probity, honesty; virtue, chastity; sanctity;—welfare, well-being, prosperity;—mildness, gentleness;—ability, capability, fitness, worth;—a deposition; a report or return (made by the police) on the state of a district:—ṣalāḥiyat-bahī, s.f. A diary (kept in police and revenue offices) of the condition or prosperity of a district:—ṣalāḥiyat likhnā (-kī), To make a (police) report on the state of a district; to keep a register of travellers in a sarāʼc, &c.
