سقا saqqā v.n. fr. سقي 'to give to drink'

A سقا saqqā (v.n. fr. سقي 'to give to drink'), s.m. Water-carrier; one who gives to drink, a cup-bearer (=sāqī); waterer (of plants, &c.);—a pelican (=murg-ě-saqqā,—so called because it draws water for itself).
