سزا sazā

P سزا sazā [rt. Zend śać; cf. Pehl. śajak], s.f. (orig.) 'Worthy, deserving'; correction, chastisement, nunishment; penalty, retribution:—sazā pānā, To receive punishment, to be punished:—sazā denā (-ko) or sazā karnā (-kī), To inflict punishment (on), to punish, chastise; to avenge:—sazā-yāb, adj. Liable to punishment, punishable:—sazā-yāfta, adj. & s.m. Who, or one who, has been punished; an old offender.
