P شانه shāna [v.n. fr. shāndan or shān-īdan, 'to comb,' for shawāndan or ṣhawānīdan, causal of shudan 'to go,' rt. Zend shu = S. च्यु], s.m. A comb; a (cock's) comb, a crest; a honey-comb (=shān); the shoulder-blade:—shāna-dān, s.m. A comb-case:—shāna-sar, s.m. 'Crest-head'; the hoopoe; the puet, &c.

H سہانا सुहाना suhānā [suhā = suhāw˚ = Prk. सुहाव(इ) or सुहावे(इ) =S.सुख+आपय(ति)], v.n. To be pleasing, be agreeable (to, -ko); to give pleasure, to please; to be liked, be approved;—to be pleased, be glad, to rejoice;—to be self-satisfied, to give oneself airs, to show off.

H سہنا सहना sahnā [sah˚ = Prk. सह(इ)=S. सह(ते), rt. सह्], v.t. To bear, support; to suffer; endure, tolerate, put up with;—v.n. To be borne; to be digested, be assimilated, to agree (with,—as food, &c.).
