P شاه shāh [Zend khshaya, rt. khshi = S. क्षि(क्षयति)], s.m. King, prince, monarch, &c.; the king (at chess or cards); a title assumed by faqīrs;—adj. (in comp.) A صحيح ṣaḥīḥ (v.n. fr. صحّ 'to be healthy, or sound,' &c.), adj. Healthy, sound, valid; perfect; whole, entire; substantial, real, true, genuine; pure; right, just, proper, correct, accurate, authentic, sure, certain;—s.f. Signature, sign or mark, attestation; sanction (syn. taṣdīq):—ṣaḥīhuʼl-badanī, s.f. Soundness of body:—ṣaḥīḥ-sālim or ṣaḥīḥ-salāmat, adj. & adv.
