A ثالث s̤ālis̤ (act. part. of ثلث 'to form a third,' &c.), adj. & s.m. Third;—a third person, a mediator, arbitrator, umpire:—s̤ālis̤ biʼl-ḵẖair, s.m. An unprejudiced or impartial arbitrator:—s̤ālis̤-s̤alās̤a, s.m. Trinity (=tas̤līs̤):—s̤ālis̤-nāma, s.m. An award by arbitration or by a jury, a deed of award.
