H سننا सुनना sunnā [sun˚ = Prk. सुण()=S. श्टणो (ति), rt. श्रु], v.t. & n. To hear, to listen, to hearken, to heed, mind, attend to, observe; to hear abuse, to be abused:—sun-pānā, v.t. To get to hear, to come to know; to overhear;—sun-lenā, v.t. To hear, &c. (=sunnā); to get to hear, to overhear:—sunne-wālā, s.m. Hearer, listener; (in gram.) the second person.

A صناع ṣannāʻ, or ṣaṇāʻ (v.n. fr. صنع 'to make,' &c.), adj. & s.m. Very skilful, expert, dexterous; industrious;—an expert manufacturer, a skilful workman.
