تالو तालु tālu, तालू tālū

H تالو तालु tālu, तालू tālū [S. तालुकः], s.m. The palate, the ridge or slit in the roof of the mouth;—the membraneous part found in new-born infants at the coronal and sagittal commissures;—a disorder in horses, the lampreys:—tālū uṭhānā (-kā), To raise the uvula (of a new-born infant):—tālū-se zabān na lagnā, v.n. To talk without ceasing.

تعالي taʻālā

A تعالي taʻālā [3rd per. sing. perf. vi of علو 'to be high'], adj., lit. 'He is exalted'; or 'be He exalted'; the Exalted, the Most High (God).

ٿيلا टीला ṭīlā

H ٿيلا टीला ṭīlā, s.m. Mound, hillock, rising ground, hill (=ṭekrā).

ٿالا टाला ṭālā

H ٿالا टाला ṭālā, s.m. Putting off, postponement; evasion, &c.=ṭāl, q.v.:—ṭālā-bālā, s.m., ṭālā-ṭolī, s.f.=ṭālā:—ṭālā-bālā batānā (-ko), To make excuses; to evade, shuffle, &c.=ṭālam-ṭol karnā, q.v.s.v. ṭāl.
