P تگ तग tag [Zend taka, rt. tak = S. तक], s.f. Running, flying, rushing:—tag-ā-pū, tag-ā-pūʼī, tag-ā-dau, tag-tāz, tag-dau, tag-o-pū, tag-o-tāz, or tag-o-dau, s.f. Running about in quest of employment or on business; great exertion or effort; close pursuit or search (after); bustle, toil, fatigue; anxiety, care, concern (syn. dauṛ-dhūp; udheṛ-bun).

P تيغ teg̠ [Zend, tigha, rt. tij = S. तिज्], s.f. A sword, scimitar; cutlass; dagger:—teg̠-ba-kaf, adv. Sword in hand:—teg̠-zan, adj. & s.m. Striking with a sword; using a sword;—one who uses a sword or scimitar, a swordsman:—teg̠-zanī, s.f. Use of the sword or scimitar:—teg̠ khānā, v.n. To receive a sword-cut:—tah-ǒ-teg̠ karnā, v.t. To put to the sword.
