Wainscot, boarding;—taḵẖta-bandī karnā (-kī), To board, plank, to floor with boards:—taḵẖta-gardan, adj. Thick, broad, and straight-necked (a horse):—taḵẖta-musat̤t̤aḥ, s.m. A small plank; a small board (like a slate) for children to write on; a tablet, a signet of stone; a leaf or thin plate of stained glass; agate, topaz, or other precious stone with a sentence of the Qorʼān inscribed or engraven on it worn hung from the neck of children and others (rather as an amulet than as an ornament); a plate (on which anything is engraved=paṭṭa); the breast.
