P تہي tihī, adj. Empty, void, vacant, vain:—tihī-dast, adj. Empty-handed; poor:—tihī-dastī, s.f. Poverty, penury:—tihī-damāg, adj. Empty-headed, ignorant.

H تهو थू thū [Prk. थू; S. थु], s.f. The sound made in spitting, or an imitation of that sound;—intj. (expressive of disgust, scorn, &c.) Fie!, out!, tush!, tut!:—thū-thū karnā, v.n. To be constantly or repeatedly spitting; to spit (on or at, -par) in scorn, &c.; to flout or jeer with the exclamation thū; to deride, scorn, treat with disdain:—thū-thū honā, v.n. To be flouted or jeered with the exclamation thū; to be derided, scorned, &c.; to be disgraced.
