The office of substitute, or agent, or administrator, &c.; substitute, proxy; agency;—embassy; deputation, delegation, commission;—the business of an advocate or pleader (wakīl), pleading, practice at the bar:—wakālat karnā, To act as substitute or proxy (for, -kī t̤araf-se); to advocate the cause (of);—to practise as a pleader or advocate:—wakālat-nāma, s.m.
