P ورثه wirs̤a, or wars̤a (prob. fr. A. wirs̤), s.m. Inheritance, heritage; a bequest (i.q. wirās̤at, q.v.):—wirs̤a baṭnā, An inheritance to be divided:—wirs̤a pānā (-ko), To acquire (a property) by inheritance or bequest:—wirs̤a-dār, s.m. H ورشا वर्षा varshā [S. वर्षाः, nom. pl. of varsha, and of varshā], s.m. & f. = S ورشا वर्षा varshā, s.f. The rains, rainy season, monsoon (the third of the six seasons; it extends from the 15th of Asāṛh to the 15th of Bhādoṅ, or Áśvin according to others; but the duration of the monsoon is longer, being reckoned from Asāṛh to Kārttik, i.e. from the middle of June to the beginning of October);—(varshā, f.) rain, a shower:—varshā-r̤itu, or varshā-kāl, s.m.
