A ضرور ẓarūr, vulg. ẓurūr (v.n. fr. ضر 'to harm,' &c.), adj. & adv. Necessary, needful, requisite, expedient; urgent; unavoidable, indispensable, essential, imperative, &c.;—urgently; certainly, assuredly, of course; without fail; absolutely; peremptorily:—ẓarūr-ẓarūr, or ẓarūr-hī, or biʼẓ-ẓarūr, adv. Necessarily, of necessity, perforce; urgently; indispensably:—pur-ẓarūr, adj. Highly or very necessary:—jāʼě-ẓarūr, or jā-ẓarūr, s.m. A necessary, a privy.
