Dr. Azeez Ahmed Ursi is a noted zoologist, science writer, and educator who has made significant contributions to popular science writing in Urdu. His work is dedicated to presenting scientific knowledge in a clear, accessible, and engaging style, making complex concepts understandable for students and general readers alike.
Originally from Warangal, Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana), he earned degrees in Urdu and Zoology from Osmania University and later completed his Ph.D. in Zoology from Kakatiya University. He served as a faculty member and later as Principal of Islamia Degree College, Warangal, while also pursuing research in zoology, with several papers published in academic journals.
Alongside his academic career, Dr. Ursi has authored numerous books on science and nature in Urdu. His notable works include Science and Religion, Janwaron Ki Duniya, Saz-e-Hayat, and books on animal behaviour, ecology, and natural wonders.
