Profile of Colonel Ghulam Sarwar
Colonel (Retd.) Ghulam Sarwar, a prominent Pakistani intellectual, columnist, defense analyst, and writer, was born on 31st December 1928 in Jhelum.
After obtaining master's degrees in English, Urdu, and Islamic Studies, he entered the field of teaching. Later, he joined the Education Corps of the Pakistan Army.
Among his notable works are Taqdeer-e-Umam, Musafir-e-Haram, Patras: A Study, Mutala-e-Islamiyat, and his autobiography titled Aaina-e-Ayyam.
The Government of Pakistan awarded him the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) in 1982 for his distinguished services.
Colonel (Retd.) Ghulam Sarwar passed away on 21st December 2009 in Lahore.Tagged Under
